Terri Jacobson, MEd
Founder + Lead Coach

Terri founded Apogee College Prep in 2014 following 20 years of teaching English and mentoring educators. She says, "I am passionate about equitable higher educational opportunities for all students, despite the resources or learning differences they possess. 

Avi-Yona Israel, JD
College Admissions Coach

Avi studied English and philosophy at Colgate University and received her JD from the University of Pennsylvania Law School. She went on to complete graduate coursework in justice and international human rights law at American University and Oxford University. Avi specializes in English, reading, writing and research, and study skills. 

Carolyn Friedman, BA
College Admissions Coach

Carolyn is a recent graduate of Columbia University and a Fulbright scholar. She began her journey with college counseling in 2018, and has continued working with students applying to college and graduate school for the past four years. Her goal is simple: to bring out the unique voice of each student she works with so that it shines through their application! 

Sue Steinhardt, MEd
College Admissions Coach

Sue is a recently retired high school English teacher. She spent twenty-seven years in the classroom, working with seniors for the last ten, and has a particular interest in helping students craft a narrative that captures their distinctive voice. She earned her MEd in Curriculum and Instruction and was named Teacher of the Year in 2006.

Marcia Lindner, MSW, MA
Learning Disabilities Consultant

 Marcia Lindner is the owner and founder of Lindner Educational Consultants, LLC, and provides support to families with children with learning differences in both public and private elementary, middle, and high schools. Marcia has more than two decades of experience as a teacher, principal, social worker, and learning disabilities advocate.
